Young Champions Program Screens 500 Young Adults in Vancouver, WA for Sudden Cardiac Arrest Causes - www.prweb.com


With the February Young Champions screening event, the Vancouver, WA community has now tested 500 of its estimated 50,000 population of young adults under the age of 18 for heart issues that may lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). The Young Champions is a program providing advanced heart screenings for student athletes in Clark County, sponsored by Southwest Washington Medical Center's Heart and Vascular Center and the Quinn Driscoll Foundation. The goal of this program is to conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments for young adults, athletes and otherwise, who might be at risk for SCA. Screenings are provided for a nominal donation to the Quinn Driscoll Foundation.
